Healthy food is becoming harder to afford, and hunger affects people of all ages.

Help fight hunger in North Texas with us at our

3rd Annual Families Feeding Families Food Drive!

Our Goals

Did you know that Texas now leads the nation in food insecurity with the largest number of people facing hunger? Right here in North Texas, nearly 778,000 neighbors are experiencing hunger, a third of them being children. We believe that is unacceptable, which is why we are partnering with the North Texas Food Bank again this year.

The Miller and Morris families hope that you will join us on September 20th, as we host a food drive in partnership with the NTFB: Families Feeding Families, specifically benefiting the NTFB Food4Kids Backpack Program.

This is an excellent opportunity to educate your children or grandchildren about the benefits of helping others in need. Please encourage everyone to share this page with friends.

September is
Hunger Action Month

Join the fight against hunger and make a difference in our community.

Did you know that your support towards the Families Feeding Families food and funds drive over the last two years has enabled more than 450,000 nutritious meals to children and families facing hunger? While that is something to be proud of, we know there is still work to be done. Families continue to face challenges from higher cost of living expenses that have made the need for food assistance more critical than ever.

For Americans in the lowest income bracket, rent and transportation costs eat up as much as 40% of their income, and groceries can take up another 30%, leaving very little for other expenses, like medicine and childcare. Sadly, hunger is even more pronounced among children in our community, with an estimated 286,860 children facing hunger, or 1 in 5, which is about the entire population of Plano.

That is why we need your help! The North Texas Food Bank’s child feeding programs are essential tools to fight chronic child hunger. With nearly 21% of children across North Texas experiencing hunger, providing adequate nutrition is a priority.

The NTFB partners with more than 500 food pantries and community organizations to distribute food through a diverse feeding network. Our in person canned food drive will benefit children specifically through the NTFB Food 4 Kids Backpack Program.
