Bring Peanut Butter to Help Feed Our Community
This year, the North Texas Food Bank has asked Families Feeding Families to focus our in-person food donations on peanut butter and other nut butters* because they are highly nutritious, kid-friendly, and one of the Food Bank's most-needed items.
Why peanut butter?

✔ High in protein to help growing children thrive
✔ Packed with 29 essential vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, and antioxidants
✔ Naturally gluten-free, cholesterol-free, high in fiber, and low in saturated fat
✔ One of the most requested—but least donated—foods because it is more expensive than many pantry staples
Every jar helps nourish a child.
While financial donations have the greatest impact—allowing the North Texas Food Bank to purchase nearly three times more food than the average shopper—we know many families enjoy bringing food as a meaningful way to teach children and grandchildren about helping others.
